Dreadball Orcs

Hello one and all!

After an initial post I think it's time to actually show off some of my work.

The Silver Lady got me Dreadball quite awhile ago (2 years to be exact) and I finally got around to painting the Orcs team. Here they are in their green glory.

There were a total of 10 models on the team, 4 of these giant bruisers and then 6 of the goblins.

Overall, I think they turned out pretty well.

I do have to make a quick note regarding picture quality. It sucks. I'll be trying to get better at these photos, hopefully they look better for the next post.

Initializing

Like every gamer out there I have a deep, dark secret. It's embarrassing, but it adheres to our community like the cheese from Doritos or the smell of a gaming convention.

I'm talking, of course, about our closets of shame.

Of course we have good intentions. We honestly believed that when we got the Vampire set from Reaper Mini's Kickstarter and the full faction of that one, I swear I at least read the rules, skirmish game that we would sit down and paint them. All of them. Sadly, games pass, excitement wanes and we're stuck hiding our boxes of metal, plastic, and resin in the most inconspicuous location of the house.

No more I say. It is time to be broken from this tyranny, and finally get over my guilt of leaving so many things unpainted.

To this end, I have created this blog. I am going to share my painting journey with you. I'll be trying new techniques, new games, and hopefully, slowly but surely painting my way out of this hole I've found myself in.

I won't be alone in this, my wife, The Silver Lady, is a painter and game as well.

Before I close this post, here is a picture of our own collection of unpainted minis.

Yes, that is Dreadfleet, don't ask.
